For the past few months I have been participating in the weekly poker game at The Java Hut, vying for supremacy(and the $10 gift card that comes with it). Finally, on this 14th day of December(exactly one month before my birthday). Woohoo.

So tonight I took a trip out into the country to try to get a picture of the Geminid meteor shower. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes of futility, it became apparent that I had not prepared for the elements and was getting really cold, so I decided to pack it in and head home. Once I was exiting onto Hewitt Dr I saw what appeared to be a firework dropping into the Woodway area, though I heard nothing of the sort. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a meteor, but just in case news breaks tomorrow about a meteor crashing into Waco/Woodway. Texas, I wanted documented evidence that I saw it.

I am definitely enjoying my my new camera. Took this picture tonight and decided that the title should serve as a tribute to Don McLean’s classic song.

Photoblogging…

So I’m thinking of using this primarily as a photoblog, since I just got a camera of my own(I had been using my mom’s) and I rarely feel motivated to really write, though I am by no means abandoning that aspect of this blog.
